Medical Ethics

NEW Four-hour Course!

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for physicians in all specialties who wish or need to pursue focused study in areas of applied ethics, including boundary maintenance and practice management.

Statement of Need
The practice of medicine is governed by important ethical precepts, including confidentiality, beneficence, respect for patient autonomy, truth telling and the highest degree of professionalism.  Physicians work within the guidelines of these principles; yet medical practice can also be challenged by these principles, particularly when two or more are in conflict.  Medical Ethics - liberally employing case presentations - focuses on applied ethics, from boundary issues to billing practices.
